The Founder and Executive Director of the Institute For Biblical Education and Spiritual Inspiration (IBESI) is the Rev. Dr. Phyllis A. Green. Dr. Green was licensed as a Teacher in 1999 and ordained as a Minister in 2001 in the New Thought Christianity tradition.

She has been a Bible teacher since 2001 and has taught Bible classes locally in her church in Kingston, Jamaica, in Nassau, Bahamas as well to Teacher trainees in the international church organization in which her affiliated church is a member.

She has also been a guest Teacher at a Unity church in Houston, Texas. As a Bible teacher, she has developed original documents on the Bible that have been shared within her international church organization.

She has also been a pioneer in making the study of Judaism come alive by regularly taking her students to services at the synagogue.

Dr. Green has kept abreast of the latest trends in Biblical scholarly research through attendance at the major international Bible conferences and personal study of the latest publications.

She is currently a candidate for the Ph.D degree in Theology from the University of the West Indies.

The title of her thesis is “The Hermeneutics Of Liberation As Derived From The Fourth Gospel And Evidenced In The English-Speaking Caribbean”.

The point of departure of this thesis is the Scripture: “Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, ‘If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free’” (John 8:31-2) (NRSV).
The Executive Director has previously had a career as a Human Resources specialist working in the United States and Jamaica. She has also held Executive Management positions as head of a Government Ministries and as Vice President, Human Resources in the largest Life Insurance company in Jamaica. She has also served as a Lecturer in Public Policy and Public Administration at the undergraduate level and Public Administration and Human Resources at the graduate level at the University Of The West Indies.
